IMF Tune v5.5 Released
Anti-Spam for Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 IMF/Content Filter - Unleash its full power!!

How do I get the same functionality from IMF Tune when disabling the Content Filter/IMF gateway blocking?

The Exchange 2007/2010 Content Filter provides the Quarantine, Reject and Delete gateway blocking options. These may be replaced at IMF Tune by the Reroute, Reject and Delete Email Handling actions.

Exchange 2003 IMF provides the Archive, Delete and Reject actions. At IMF Tune the same functionality is provided by configuring Archiving profiles and using the Email Handling Reject and Delete actions.

Reroute, Delete or Reject Actions at IMF Tune

  1. Open the IMF Tune configuration, Email Handling category.

    Add Email Handling

  2. Click on Add to setup a new Email Handling Action.

    New Email Handling Configuration

  3. Set the SCL range and action to Reroute, Delete or Reject as required.

  4. Save changes.

Archive Action Equivalent to that of Exchange 2003 IMF

  1. Follow the first three steps of the previous procedure for setting up a Delete action. Note that Gateway Blocking effectively performs a Delete and Archive action. Hence we set the IMF Tune action to Delete.

  2. Next select the Archiving Category and click Add.

  3. At the General page set the Archive profile name and the archive directory path.

  4. Switch to the SCL page and select the SCL levels for which Archiving is required.

  5. Save Changes.
